HOLYBRO PM06 Power Module – Power Supply, Power Monitoring and Integrated Power Distribution

The HOLYBRO PM06 Power Module combines flight controller power supply, analog monitoring of battery voltage and current consumption, and integrated power distribution for up to four ESCs in one compact module.

The HOLYBRO PM06 powers a compatible flight controller directly from the flight battery with a regulated output voltage of 5.2 V. At the same time, battery voltage and current consumption are measured and transmitted to the flight controller as analog signals via a 6-pin JST-GH connector.

Thanks to the integrated power distribution, up to four ESCs can be connected directly to the power module. This makes the HOLYBRO PM06 particularly suitable for compact multicopter and UAV configurations where power supply, monitoring, and power distribution are combined in a central module.

Integrated Power Distribution for Four ESCs

Unlike a conventional power module, the HOLYBRO PM06 also features integrated power distribution. Up to four ESCs can be connected to the flight battery via the dedicated connections. Depending on the system configuration, this can eliminate the need for a separate Power Distribution Board (PDB).

Regulated Power Supply for the Flight Controller

The HOLYBRO PM06 Power Module provides a regulated output voltage of 5.2 V with a maximum output current of 3 A. The maximum output power is 18 W.

Analog Voltage and Current Measurement

During operation, the HOLYBRO PM06 measures the battery voltage and current consumption of the system. The measurement data is transmitted as analog signals to a compatible flight controller via the 6-pin JST-GH connector.

10S and 14S Versions

The HOLYBRO PM06 Power Module is available in two different versions. Depending on the selected version, batteries with up to 10S or 14S are supported.

• PM06 10S Version: 2S–10S input voltage

High Current Capability

The PCB of the HOLYBRO PM06 Power Module is designed for a continuous current of up to 70 A. For short periods, the PCB can handle up to 120 A for less than 60 seconds.

Pre-Assembled Connections

The HOLYBRO PM06 is supplied with pre-installed wiring, capacitor, and XT60 connector. This simplifies integration into existing or newly developed UAV systems.

Important Note on Current Capacity

The pre-installed XT60 connector and 12 AWG wire are rated for a continuous current of 30 A and a short-term peak current of 60 A for less than 60 seconds.

The current capacity of the PCB itself is significantly higher at 70 A continuous current and 120 A peak current. If the HOLYBRO PM06 is used in a system with higher currents, the connector and wire gauge must be appropriately selected and adapted to the actual current requirements of the system.

Compatibility

The HOLYBRO PM06 Power Module uses an analog data output to transmit voltage and current measurements and is intended for flight controllers equipped with a compatible analog power module interface.

Important: The HOLYBRO PM06 Power Module is not compatible with Pixhawk® 5X and Pixhawk® 6X. These flight controllers require a digital power module such as the HOLYBRO PM06D.
