HOLYBRO PM02 Power Module – Power Supply and Analog Power Monitoring for Flight Controllers

The HOLYBRO PM02 Power Module provides a simple solution for powering a flight controller directly from the flight battery with a regulated 5.2 V output while simultaneously monitoring battery voltage and current consumption.

The measurements are transmitted as analog signals to the flight controller via a 6-pin JST-GH cable. The power module is supplied with pre-installed wiring, capacitor, and XT60 connectors, allowing quick and easy integration into existing UAV systems.

Regulated Power Supply for the Flight Controller

The HOLYBRO PM02 Power Module converts the flight battery input voltage to a regulated output voltage of 5.2 V. The output supports up to 3 A and provides a reliable power supply for compatible flight controllers.

Analog Voltage and Current Measurement

In addition to supplying power, the HOLYBRO PM02 Power Module measures the current battery voltage and system current consumption. These measurements are provided to the flight controller as analog signals and can be used to monitor the system's power supply.

For 2S to 12S Batteries

The HOLYBRO PM02 Power Module supports input voltages from 2S to 12S, making it suitable for a wide range of UAV platforms and propulsion configurations.

High Current Capability

The PCB of the HOLYBRO PM02 Power Module is designed for high-current applications and supports a continuous current of up to 60 A. Peak currents of up to 100 A are possible for short periods. Current measurement supports values up to a maximum of 120 A.

Pre-Assembled Connections

The power module is supplied with pre-soldered wiring, XT60 connectors, and an electrolytic capacitor. The PCB section is additionally protected by heat-shrink tubing, allowing straightforward integration into the power system of a UAV.

Important Note on Current Capacity

The pre-installed XT60 connectors and 12 AWG wires are rated for a continuous current of 30 A and a short-term peak current of 60 A for less than 60 seconds.

The current capacity of the PCB itself is higher. If the power module is used in a system with currents exceeding the capacity of the pre-installed XT60 connectors and 12 AWG wires, the connectors and wire gauge must be appropriately selected and adapted to the actual current requirements of the system.

Compatibility

The HOLYBRO PM02 Power Module uses an analog data output to transmit voltage and current measurements. It is therefore intended for flight controllers that support a compatible analog power module interface.

Important: The HOLYBRO PM02 Power Module is not compatible with Pixhawk® 5X and Pixhawk® 6X. These flight controllers require a digital power module such as the HOLYBRO PM02D.
